I have a blog!

Jemma has a blog! Shocking, I know. But she has blogged before. This isn't QUITE her first blogging experience. She has created blogs on here (blogspot) before. Though given up. She has recently been blogging on a website called HPFZ. Heard of it? Harry Potter Fan Zone, one of the best fan sites EVER. She used to be an active member on the forums too, before they went down :(. They should be up by the end of the month go. Anyways, when the forums are down, we use this ning. Which has a blogging feature. Which I have used a lot. Now, considering the forums are going to come back up (I am ever optimistic), the ning won't be used anymore SO I shall need another place for my blog. SO WHAT A BETTER PLACE THAN BLOGSPOT, EH?

Ok, so off the all caps and onto the blog.

So a bit about me. Well to be honest, most people reading this blog probably already know at least who I am and a bit about me. So I won't spend AGES describing myself. Just the basics.

I'm a teenager living in South England. I'm in year 12, which is my second-last year in High School/Senior School/Secondary School/whatever it's called. I'm taking Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, though have NO idea what I want to do at university. I know I want to go! That's something, at least...

I love Harry Potter. The series of books. Not the movies. NOT Daniel Radcliffe. Not the character Harry Potter, though he's not all bad. I just love the books. Luna. The setting. The plot. The...everything about them. They're just frickin' gawesome. Gawesome is a combination of good and awesome which my friend Caroline accidentally said a while back and has kind of stuck. I also might say gamazing sometimes which is NOT a combination of good and amazing, it's gawesome and amazing which is like good, awesome AND amazing. I accidentally typed in that one. Both of those words were accidentally made up at Nadia's house. WOOT!

Yes, I'm saying names. Because honestly, most people, if not all people, reading this will be our mutual friends, I am thinking. They are fellow members of HPFZ. They both live in Canada and are gamazing. Haven't met Caroline yet though, am meeting her this winter. I love meeting HPFZers. Met Sam this summer. 'Twas an amazing day. Hope to meet Mandy too this Christmas. Four HPFZers together, WOOT!

Ok, right. So. More about me? Yes. I've already said I love Harry Potter, though I think I'll say it again. I LOVE HARRY POTTER! Ok, moving on. I like TV sometimes. The TV shows FRIENDS and Numb3rs are my favourites though. By a miiiiiiile. I have like phases where I watch other TV shows, but those are my all-time faves.

I like reading in general. Though not the Twilight saga. I used to like them, admittedly. However I just got a bit bored of them to be honest. The characters are boring. I HAVE actually read better fanfic. And better like stories friends have written (Crystal99 and Jackakaeragon I'm looking at YOU). The plot was ok to start with, but by the time Breaking Dawn came out...no. I stayed up until four in the morning reading that book. I don't regret it, persay, I just didn't think it was a very good book. The whole concept just wasn't my thing. Sorry Meyer, it sucked. Anyway, off Twilight-bashing. Meyer's other book, The Host, is really good though, would recommend that above Twilight anyday. I like reading. I read lots of books. Well as many as I have time for. I'm currently reading Pride and Prejudice, am around halfway through. See mum said she would read the sixth Harry Potter book if I read Pride and Prejudice. Not believing I would. Now she has to read it! Hah!

I am also involved in Girlguiding. Or Girl Scouts, if you're in America. I'm a Young Leader at a Brownie unit (aged 7-10) and a Ranger (aged 14-26). Love it. Have been in Girlguiding for, what, eight years it has been. I love it. It's the Centenary this year, woot! Am planning to do lots of gawesome stuff this year. 'Twill be gamazing, methinks. <3

Edit: Couple of things I forgot. One, I'm going to try to do a blog everyday. Everyday English time. Only exception is if I'm on holiday without internet access. Which I may be if my parents refuse to let me take my laptop to Canada this Christmas. Plus I doubt there's any internet around where my grandparents live, considering they don't even own a computer.

Secondly...I've forgotten again! I did have something else I wanted to say! Not good. Actually bye this time, see you tomorrow! Oh wait, thought of something else. What kind of colours should I make the blog? I've considered doing a Harry Potter-ish layout. Maybe? I don't know. Ideas guys?
